INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE OF THE BIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE FOOD SUPPLEMENT

DOSAGE FORM:

Chewable tablets.

COMPOSITION OF 1 TABLET:

Active ingredients:

·        Calcium carbonate — 1,250 mg (equivalent to 500 mg of elemental calcium)

·        Vitamin D3 — 5.5 μg (220 IU)

·        Zinc (in the form of zinc citrate) — 4 mg

·        Phytin — 125 mg

Excipients:

Sorbitol, orange flavoring granulate, povidone, magnesium stearate, aspartame.

PHARMACOTHERAPEUTIC GROUP:

Biologically active food supplement. Source of calcium, vitamin D3, zinc and phytin.

Pharmacological properties:

Calcium carbonate:

is an important component for maintaining the normal structure of bones and teeth. It also plays a role in the regulation of neuromuscular conduction and participates in the blood coagulation process.

Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol):

is essential for maintaining normal calcium and phosphorus levels in the body. It promotes their effective absorption from the intestine and deposition in bone tissue, which is critical for preventing the development of osteoporosis and rickets.

Zinc:

is an essential trace element involved in more than 300 enzymatic reactions in the body. It is necessary for normal functioning of the immune system and maintaining the health of the skin, hair and nails. It also plays a key role in the synthesis of proteins and nucleic acids and contributes to normal metabolism and cell growth.

Phytin:

is a natural complex of phosphorus-containing compounds that may contribute to improved absorption of minerals such as calcium and zinc and modulation of certain digestive processes. In addition, phytin has pronounced antioxidant properties, protecting cells from damage caused by free radicals, and may have an anti-inflammatory effect.

INDICATIONS FOR USE:

Recommended as a biologically active food supplement and an additional source of calcium, vitamin D3, zinc and phytin:

·        To maintain normal calcium levels in the body and prevent calcium deficiency.

·        To strengthen bone tissue and teeth and reduce the risk of developing osteoporosis.

·        To enrich the diet with essential micronutrients and vitamins, especially during periods of increased requirements (for example, during pregnancy and lactation, periods of intensive growth and puberty, and in elderly people).

·        To maintain normal functioning of the immune system and increase the body's resistance to infections.

·        In cases of an unbalanced diet or conditions leading to increased calcium loss (for example, prolonged use of certain medicinal products).

METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE:

Orally. Take during meals, thoroughly chewing or swallowing whole.

·        Children aged 3 to 6 years: 1 tablet once daily.

·        Children aged 6 to 12 years: 1 tablet twice daily.

·        Adults and children over 12 years of age: 2 tablets twice daily.

DURATION OF USE:

The usual course of use is 1–2 months. If necessary or on the recommendation of a specialist, the course may be repeated.

ADVERSE EFFECTS:

In rare cases, individual intolerance to the components of the product may cause allergic reactions (for example, skin rash or itching). If any undesirable reactions occur, discontinue use and consult a doctor.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

• Individual intolerance to the components of the product.
• Conditions associated with elevated calcium levels in the blood (hypercalcemia).
• Excessive vitamin D levels in the body (hypervitaminosis D).
• Severe renal impairment.
• Phenylketonuria (as the product contains aspartame, a source of phenylalanine).

DRUG INTERACTIONS:

No clinically significant interactions have been identified when used at recommended doses. However, when taking other biologically active supplements or medicinal products simultaneously, especially those containing calcium, vitamin D, zinc or antacids, consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is recommended to exclude possible excessive intake of these components.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

• Before use, consultation with a doctor or specialist is recommended, especially for people with chronic diseases.
• The biologically active food supplement is not a substitute for a complete and balanced diet. It serves as a dietary supplement.
• Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
• It does not affect the ability to drive vehicles or operate other potentially dangerous machinery.
• During pregnancy and breastfeeding, a doctor should be consulted before use.

OVERDOSE:

Cases of overdose at recommended doses have not been described. Significant excess of the recommended dose may cause symptoms associated with excessive calcium levels (for example, nausea, vomiting, constipation, muscle weakness and thirst). In such cases, immediately discontinue use of the product and consult a doctor for symptomatic treatment.

DOSAGE FORM / PRESENTATION:

Chewable tablets. Supplied in bottles containing N tablets (specify the quantity if known), packed in a cardboard box together with the instructions for use.

STORAGE CONDITIONS:

Store in a dry place protected from light at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.

SHELF LIFE:

2 years. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.

DISPENSING CONDITIONS:

Available without a prescription.
