Composition of 1 suppository:

Active ingredients:

·        Interferon alpha — 150,000 IU

·        Taurine — 0.005 g

Excipient: hard fat (up to 2.0–3.0 g)

Pharmacotherapeutic group:

Immunostimulating and antiviral agent.

Pharmacological properties:

Interferon alpha is a natural cytokine and one of the main factors of innate immunity. It activates the phagocytic activity of macrophages, enhances the functional activity of T-lymphocytes and natural killer cells, and stimulates the production of endogenous protective proteins.

Interferon suppresses viral replication by inhibiting the synthesis of viral proteins and prevents the spread of viral infection in the body. In addition, it increases the resistance of cells to the penetration of viral agents and promotes the development of an adequate immune response.

Taurine is a biologically active amino acid with pronounced cytoprotective and antioxidant properties. It stabilizes cell membranes, reduces the damaging effects of free radicals, and promotes the restoration of tissues damaged as a result of inflammatory processes.

Taurine enhances the action of interferon and improves its biological activity. It also contributes to the normalization of metabolic processes in cells and helps reduce the severity of inflammatory reactions.

Chamomile extract has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and mild sedative effects. It reduces irritation of the mucous membranes, decreases the manifestation of local inflammatory reactions, and helps reduce pain. Biologically active substances of chamomile have a positive effect on tissue condition and strengthen the body's protective mechanisms.

Cedar oil is a source of biologically active lipids and vitamins. It promotes the restoration and strengthening of mucous membranes and has a soothing and restorative effect. It improves local immunity, accelerates healing processes, and reduces the risk of secondary inflammatory complications.

Indications for use:

It is used as part of complex therapy for the following diseases in children:

·        Acute respiratory viral infections

·        Influenza

·        Herpesvirus infections

·        Viral intestinal infections

·        Inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract

·        Frequent colds

·        Conditions associated with weakened immunity

·        During the recovery period after infection

Method of administration and dosage:

Rectal administration. The medicinal product should be used after bowel evacuation. It is recommended to lie down before inserting the suppository.

·        Children aged 6 months to 3 years: 1 suppository once daily.

·        Children aged 3 to 7 years: 1 suppository 1–2 times daily.

·        Children over 7 years of age: 1 suppository twice daily.

Adverse reactions:

Allergic reactions may occur in patients with increased sensitivity to the components of the medicinal product.

Contraindications:

Individual intolerance to the ingredients of the medicinal product.
