Composition per 100 mL of syrup:

Active ingredients:

·        Rosehip fruit extract — 1000 mg

·        Ferrous fumarate — 120 mg

·        Vitamin B12 — 10 μg

·        Folic acid — 2 mg

Pharmacotherapeutic group: combined anti-anemic agent

Pharmacological properties:

Rosehip fruit extract has strong antioxidant properties, which are associated with its high content of polyphenols and vitamin C. It activates antioxidant enzymes and reduces oxidative stress, thereby having a positive effect on the general condition of the body. The vitamin C contained in the extract increases intestinal absorption of iron, which is very important for correcting iron-deficiency anemia.

Ferrous fumarate is an organic iron salt with high bioavailability. It participates in the synthesis of hemoglobin and myoglobin, which are necessary for the transport and storage of oxygen in the body. Iron also plays an important role in cellular metabolism and the activity of respiratory enzymes. The fumarate form causes fewer adverse effects compared with inorganic iron salts, making it preferable for long-term use.

Vitamin B12 is a necessary coenzyme in the metabolism of nucleic acids and fatty acids. It participates in the synthesis of methionine from homocysteine, helping maintain normal homocysteine levels and reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Vitamin B12 is also very important for the normal formation of erythrocytes, preventing the development of megaloblastic anemia and supporting nervous system function.

Folic acid is a water-soluble vitamin required for the synthesis of purines and pyrimidines, which are necessary for DNA synthesis and cell division. It plays an important role in hematopoiesis and ensures normal formation of erythrocytes. Folic acid deficiency increases the risk of anemia and neurological disorders, especially during pregnancy, making it very important for fetal development.

Method of administration and dosage:

For oral use. Shake the bottle before use. Take between meals.

·        Children under 6 years: 1.5–2.5 mL twice daily

·        Children aged 6 to 12 years: 5–10 mL twice daily

·        Children over 12 years and adults: 10–15 mL twice daily

Adverse effects:

Allergic reactions may occur in patients with hypersensitivity to the components of the medicinal product.

Contraindications:

Individual intolerance to the ingredients of the medicinal product.
