Pharmacotherapeutic group

Topical preparation with anti-inflammatory action.

Pharmacological properties

Castor oil — intended for topical use. Castor oil and capsaicin possess anti-inflammatory and anti-edematous effects. It is an effective remedy for the treatment of burns, wounds, and cracks on the soles of the feet. It is also recommended for scars, cysts, and other skin growths.

Glycerin — when applied externally, has a dermatoprotective effect and softens the skin and mucous membranes.

Olive oil — the antioxidant components of olive oil help combat inflammation.

Mustard — contains a high amount of selenium, which contributes to strengthening bones. In addition to selenium, mustard contains significant amounts of phosphorus, magnesium, and calcium, which directly participate in the formation of bone tissue.

Menthol — has a local analgesic effect and stimulates receptors in the skin and mucous membranes. It has an antiseptic effect.

Lemon lavender — an aromatic oil. It contains linalool, a component with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.

Eucalyptus — possesses antiseptic properties. An infusion prepared from its leaves is used for washing and treating purulent wounds.

Chondroitin — a natural component of cartilage tissue. It improves phosphorus-calcium metabolism in cartilage tissue, prevents the degradation of connective tissue, and helps reduce pain and facilitate joint movement.

Glucosamine — an agent that affects cartilage tissue and metabolic processes. It replenishes the natural deficiency of glucosamine and restores the synthesis of proteoglycans and hyaluronic acid in synovial fluid; increases the permeability of the joint capsule and restores the synovial membrane and enzymatic processes in articular cartilage cells. By incorporating sulfur into the synthesis of chondroitin sulfate, it facilitates the normalization of calcium levels in bone tissue. It inhibits the development of degenerative processes in the joints, promotes restoration of their function, and reduces pain.

Pharmacokinetics

In accordance with the international convention (EMEA/HMPWG/11/99), when conducting clinical studies of medicinal products of plant origin, separate studies of their pharmacokinetic characteristics are not required.

Indications for use

The medicinal product is recommended for use as part of the complex therapy of degenerative-dystrophic diseases of the musculoskeletal system, including osteoarthritis, osteochondrosis of the spine, and other joint diseases accompanied by pain.

Method of administration and dosage

For external use.

Squeeze out a strip of gel 1 to 5 cm in length and apply a thin layer.

Apply 2–3 times daily.

The amount of medicinal product applied depends on the size of the painful area.

The duration of treatment depends on the effect of the medicinal product and the severity of the symptoms of the disease.

Adverse effects

Allergic reactions may occur in patients with increased sensitivity to the components of the medicinal product.

Contraindications

Impaired integrity of the skin at the application site; hypersensitivity to the components of the medicinal product.

Drug interactions

No special precautions are required.

Overdose

Not identified.

In case of overdose, symptomatic treatment is provided.

Storage conditions

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C, in a dry place protected from light.
