Pharmacotherapeutic group
Antihemorrhoidal agent.
Pharmacological properties
Hydrogenated castor oil — an emollient and moisturizing agent. As an emulsifier, it helps to mix liquids. It helps maintain healthy skin. As a surfactant, it ensures uniform distribution by reducing surface tension.
Oak bark extract — contains catechins and possesses antimicrobial properties. Pentosans have an anti-inflammatory effect.
Sorrel extract — contains vitamin C, proteins, sugars, carotene, and quercetin. Due to these components, it possesses wound-healing and hemostatic properties.
Chamomile extract — reduces the proteolytic activity of pepsin and has an anti-inflammatory effect. Due to the presence of chamazulene and essential oils, it possesses antioxidant activity. It has antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial effects and improves tissue regeneration processes. It also has an antipruritic effect.
Walnut husk extract — improves the condition of the skin. It has moisturizing, antipruritic, and soothing effects.
Frankincense — possesses strong anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, astringent, and wound-healing properties.
Aloe barbadensis juice powder (Sabur) — contains minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, iron, manganese, and zinc, as well as essential vitamins C, A, E, B1, B2, B6, and B12 and folic acid. These substances are necessary for cellular metabolism and function. It possesses astringent and anti-inflammatory properties.
Pharmacokinetics
In accordance with the international convention (EMEA/HMPWG/11/99), when conducting clinical studies of medicinal products of plant origin, separate studies of their pharmacokinetic characteristics are not required.
Indications for use
Acute hemorrhoids and hemorrhoids complicated by bleeding, anal fissures, anal eczema, and inflammation of the rectum during the postoperative period.
Method of administration and dosage
For external use.
Apply a thin layer of the ointment externally to the affected area 2–3 times daily.
After the pain has subsided, continued use once daily for 7 days is recommended.
Adverse effects
Allergic reactions may occur in patients with increased sensitivity to the components of the medicinal product.
Contraindications
Individual intolerance to the ingredients of the medicinal product.

Overdose
